Cancer Prevention and Awareness Save Lives

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Hawaii. More than 6,500 residents are diagnosed with a form of the disease each year. Yet half of cancer cases in the U.S. could be prevented by living a healthy lifestyle, which includes getting appropriate screening exams.

A healthy lifestyle and regular screening exams help to reduce your risk for some types of cancer. Screenings can find cancer early, when it’s most treatable. Find out which cancer screenings are right for you and your loved ones based on age, gender and family history.
